Stephen Lynn "Steve" Cramer, 63, went to Heaven on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He had suffered with Crohn's disease for 41 years, but his passing was due to a brief illness.
Born February 6, 1954 he was the son of the late Mary Ann Cramer.
Steve was of Lutheran faith. He was a 1972 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was a former member of the 167th WV Air National Guard. He was last employed at Apple Valley Chevrolet. Steve was very active in the Masonic Lodge. He was past Master of Berkeley Lodge #37, Past Commander of Potomac Commendary #5, past High Priest of Bethesda Chapter #16 Royal Arch Mason, Almoner and Senior Warden of Valley of Martinsburg Scottish Rite, Past Grand Tall Cedar of Shenandoah Forest #150 Tall Cedars, Past Prior of Knights of York Cross of Honor Priory #32, York Rite College, Allied Mason Degrees, Civil War Lodge Research, and El Tor Grotto.
Steve loved to hunt and fish and just spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Alice Braithwaite Cramer. He was the love of her life as she was to him, they had stood together throughout his many illnesses, but it was time for God to take him home.
He is also survived by his son, Philip Edward Cramer and wife, Nicole; daughter and fishing buddy, Lara Marie Cramer Johnson and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Ian Jones and Cameron, Noah, Grace, Carter, Levi, and Preston Cramer; also several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Cramer.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Lewis O. Braithwaite officiating. Steve's wishes were to be cremated.
