Obituary for Joseph Eugene Smith Sr.


Joseph Eugene Smith, Sr, 75, of Martinsburg, passed away, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born June 12, 1941, in Berkeley County, he was the son of the late Joseph Presley Smith and Clara Belle Butts Smith.
He was an outdoorsman early in his life he loved to fish and hunt. His family was the love of his life and he never missed an event with the family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane Martin Smith; one son, Joseph E. Smith, Jr. and wife Monica; one daughter, Cheryl Fiddler and husband Kenneth; five grandchildren, Crystal Dinoia, Michael and Aaron Maxwell, Logan and Claire Smith; one great grandson, C. J. Dinoia; and one sister, Janice Tyson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Leotah Smith; three sisters, Hilda Unger, Ada James, and Marjorie McDaniel
Family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home.
Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Needmore Cemetery.
