I got to know Ned from working in the magazines at DuPont back in the 1970's while I was a student. He was a quick witted, fun guy to be around and it was always a pleasure to see him on the plant. There was a code among the employees. It went like this: Ned: "How ya doin' now?" Darryl:"Dandy"

Dear family, I am so very sad to hear of Ned’s passing. So many of my wonderful childhood memories are of him and our family reunions down by the creek. He was a wonderful bright light and always made everyone smile and laugh. As a child, I loved to hear his stories. That, I think is a Boyd family trait. I am so sorry for your loss. To the Boyd family:Ned and I worked at the DuPont plant at the same time for several years,that is how I got to know him. I remember him as an avid outdoorsman and pleasant to be around.He always had a cordial remark and a good conversation to make. To all of Ned's family am am so sad for your loss. Ned was a friend of my Dad's and for years has told me stories about my Dad and the things they did as kids. He was also a great friend to everyone that knew him. I always looked forward to seeing him in some of his favorite places. He had to be a great Dad and I know you all were lucky to have as a Father. Ned was a great man and lived his life to the fullest, always willing to share his hunting and fishing knowledge with all of us “ less experienced “. Sincere condolence to Ned's family. Went to Winchester Ave School And MHS with Ned. He married one of out classmates Delores Hafer. My memory of him was as our fullback on the football team. He was great. I worked at DuPont shortly before heading to Syracuse and then lost track of his career. Wonderful memories. Love to all.
