Obituary for Burton Cole Leffingwell

Burton Cole Leffingwell, 88, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born March 3, 1933, in Great Barrington, MA., he was the son of the late Burton Alpheus Leffingwell and Ethel Cole Leffingwell.

Burton was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict.

He retired as a Purchasing Agent from Color-Ad with over 40 years of service. Burton was a passionate and published Nature Photographer. He truly loved his family, working in the yard and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Claudia Walling Leffingwell; three sons. David Leffingwell and wife Karen of Martinsburg, Dennis Flynn of Glendale, AZ, Robert Flynn of Glendale, AZ; three daughters, Ethel Leffingwell of Littlestown, PA, Pearlita Leffingwell of Leesburg, VA, Shelley Keys and husband, Tim of Dale City, VA; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Susan Lowell of Scarborough, ME.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, by a son Burton R. Leffingwell; a daughter, Stephanie Leffingwell; a granddaughter, Amy Leffingwell; and a brother, Paul Leffingwell.

Services will be held at Bethel Assembly of God Church at a later date
