Ronald John Hughes, 62, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Martinsburg, WV, from natural causes. He was a resident of Tampa, FL. Ron was born on August 5, 1958 to Ronnie Hughes (deceased) and Carol Robertson. In accordance with his wishes, Ron was cremated.
A celebration of life is planned for spring 2021 in Martinsburg, WV.
Ron graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV. He immediately joined the United States Coast Guard and served his country for 20 years, achieving the rank of Petty Officer, First Class. After his retirement from the Coast Guard, Ron managed several marinas in St. Petersburg, FL before eventually retiring in 2010.
