Obituary for Irma Jean Wise (Walker)
Irma Jean Wise, 84, of Charles Town, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 6, 2020, at the Reston Hospital Center.
Born May 1, 1935 in Valley Springs, CA, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel Walker and Ruth Mae Waller Walker.
She was of the Protestant faith and retired from the Social Security Administration, where she had worked as a Senior Representative. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was very hardworking and creative and loved d.i.y. projects and “sprucing things up.” She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her three sons: Everett Wise, Jr, of Charles Town, Ralph A. Wise, and wife Carolyn, of Kearneysville, and Edward J. Wise, of Charles Town; brother, Jack Walker, of Elk Grove, California; three sisters, Rene Thomason and husband Skip of Ashland City, Tennessee, Joella Sue Ballejos, and husband Don, and Whitney Walker, all of California; two grandchildren, Jessica Wise Hess and Richard Haggerty and three great grandchildren: Lyla and Jaxon Hess and Kyler Schmidt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Earl Wise, Sr., and their son, George B. Wise, and five brothers: Travis, Dallas, Kenny, Jerry and John Walker.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, with the Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Interment will be in the Edge Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
