Obituary for Lisa "Mimi" Brooks (Doyle)
Lisa “Mimi” Doyle Brooks, 60, of Gerrardstown, (formerly of Louisville, KY) passed away on January 1, 2020 as a result of an automobile accident.
Born September 27, 1959 in Louisville, KY she was the daughter of the late James Edward Doyle and Betty Lou Kesselring Doyle.
She was employed by Wal Mart in Martinsburg and was a very dedicated cashier.
She enjoyed music and karaoke; the Washington Redskins football; horseracing; and was a very family orientated person. She was a member of the Martinsburg Moose and the American Legion.
She is survived by one daughter, Jerrica Golden and husband, Ryan; two grandchildren, Kirsten Cox and Jarett Golden; three brothers, Michael Doyle and Caren Brents, Gary Doyle and Leslie Watson, his daughter, Shannon Brown her husband, Chris and their children, Zach and Oliva and Shannon’s mother, Debra Crabtree, and Daniel Doyle and wife, Leslie and their son, Justin; and many other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. E. Brooks, Jr. and her in-laws.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00AM at the South Berkeley Chapel with Father Brian Shoda officiating. Family will also receive from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in St. Leo Cemetery.
