Obituary for Barbara McInnes (Pinder)
Barbara Pinder McInnes, 98, (formerly of Martinsburg) passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Millsboro, DE.
Born November 3, 1921 in Bucyrus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harold Pinder and Helen Albright Pinder.
She moved with her family to Martinsburg in the 1930’s, and she was a graduate of Charles Town High School in 1939. She retired as a secretary at Newton D. Baker Hospital, now known as the VA Medical Center. She was a member of Christ Reformed Church in Martinsburg, WV for over 70 years.
She is survived by one son, Douglas James McInnes; five grandchildren, Scott, Cameron, Lauren, Danny, and Martina; brother, James Pinder of OH; sister, Jean P. Riordon of DE; and many nieces and nephews including her caretaker, Cynthia Riordon.
She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Glen McInnes.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 11:00AM at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Thomas Hartshorn officiating. Family will receive one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
