Obituary for George Nelson "Buck" Kilmer

George “Buck” Nelson Kilmer, 77, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born February 25, 1944 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late George Mercer Kilmer, Jr., and Nell Louise (Rentch) Kilmer.

Buck was a veteran of the US Navy where he served during the Cold War Era and Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Moose, Elks, American Legion, Izaak Walton League of America, USSVI Tri- State Base, USS Rich Association, and Submarine and Destroyer Forces. He was a member of Christ Reformed Church. He was a 1962 Graduate of Martinsburg High School and retired from GM Parts Division.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Kay (Pearrell) Kilmer; two brothers, Ronald W. Kilmer and wife, Donna of Martinsburg, and Martin R. Kilmer of Inwood; one sister, Gail L. Anderson and husband, Bill of Martinsburg; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and two great-great nieces.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
