John Reese Houck, 84, of Hedgesville, WV passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born on April 13, 1937 in Hedgesville, WV, he was the son of the late John Reesen Houck and Anna May Stock Houck.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the IRS as a Master Electrician.
John is survived by his wife, Nancy Jane Burtt Houck; six children, Billie Seckman (Cindy M.) of Hedgesville, Barbara Priore (Larry) of Hedgesville, John David Houck of Dalmati, PA, Katherine Seibel of Hedgesville, Michael Dwain Houck of York Springs, PA, and John Howard Houck (Theresa) of Victoria, TX; ten grandchildren, Eric Wisor, Dereck M. Seckman (Jessica), Jenny Marie Peterson, Katie Lynn Houck, Matthew Broddick, Shayla Broddick, Briana May “Dumplin” Seibel, Justin Rojer Collier, Ginger Colleen “Stinker” Seibel, and Elizabeth Ann Houck; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Houck (Dolly); and one sister, Betty Houck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; and three sisters, “Babe” Leona VanMeter, Della Wise, and Essecle Wise.
