Layla Mae Heminway, infant daughter of Joseph Heminway and Dezeray Riley, twin sister of Gracelyn Heminway gained her wings on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

In addition to her parents and her sister, she is survived by grandparents, John and Maria Heminway, Joshua Riley (Billie), and Sue Riley (Darrell); great-grandparents, MaryAnn Heminway, Robert and Sharon Peacher, Thomas and Ethel Wright, Joyce Embrey, and Halto Embrey; aunts and uncles, Briana Embrey (Magdaleno Leon), Matthew Heminway, John “Bear” (Erin), Chelsea Clough (Jared), Viktoria Riley, and Jennifer Wright (Nate Kineard), great-aunts and uncles, Robert and Tammy Heminway, Juanita and James Walsh, Justin Wellman, Ronnie, Donnie, and Eddie Wright; and numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Robert and Ethel Wright and great-grandfather, Joseph Martin Heminway.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Bucky Chapman officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
