Obituary for Dorothy Lee Passavanti (Wood)

Dorothy Lee Wood Passavanti, 94 of Charles Town passed away surrounded by her loving family in the Hospice Inpatient Facility. Born 1927 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Harry Adams Wood and Esther Delvina Davis Wood. She was of Methodist faith. She attended University of Maryland. Dorothy worked for the Federal Government in the Treasury Department, Agricultural Department and Navy Department. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Red Hat Ladies.
She is survived by son, Donald Passavanti and wife Ann of Jacksonville, Florida, Nancy Daniel and husband Bill of Charles Town, grandchildren, Matthew Daniel and wife Jessica and Justin Daniel and husband Peter Uhlir, step grandchildren; Philip Rosenberger and Margaret Lee Norcott, great grandchild, James Daniel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Michael Passavanti, four brothers; Bud, Tim, Jack and Bob Wood.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Inurnment will be in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, Florida at a later date.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
