Obituary for Genevieve Mae Brown (Spiker)
Genevieve Mae (Spiker) Brown, 88, of Martinsburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Elmcroft Assisted and Senior Living.
Born December 29, 1932 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Homer Clinton & Stella Carney (Hinton) Spiker.
Genevieve was employed by the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon. She also held positions at K-Mart, as well as bookkeeper at Brown’s Orchards & Farm of Arden.
She is survived by one son, John C. Brown (Nikki) of Martinsburg; one daughter, Lora A. Crowell (Stephen) of Poulsbo, WA; five grandchildren, Gillian & Hannah Brown, Sarah Crowell-Meadows (Michelle), Matthew Crowell (Starla), Samuel LeCates-Crowell (Joseph); and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Thomas Brown, II; and a brother, Homer C. Spiker, Jr.
Service and interment are private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV, 25430.
