Obituary for Fred William Tabler

Fred William Tabler passed away on June 22, 2020 at the VA Medical Center.

Born April 7, 1929, son of the late James G. and Reta Alger Tabler.

Graduated from Martinsburg High School Class of 1947 was class treasurer for 50 years. He was of the protestant faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Attended Lincoln Welding School and continued his career as a Welder. Worked for J & L Steel – Blair Limestone for 25 years retired from Capitol Cement. Lifetime member of Martinsburg Moose- American Legion – NRA – Norwalk Antique Car Club – and Bedington Ruritan Club.

Surviving his wife Phyllis Whittington Tabler whom he married February 5, 1955 – a brother J. Robert Tabler – care taker Phyllis Kelley – nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be held at Rosedale Cemetery on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Brooks officiating.

Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of their choice.
