Obituary for Edith Deloris Cartwright (Sawyer)
Edith Deloris Cartwright, 75, of Hedgesville passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her residence.
Born October 30, 1944 in Elizabeth City, NC she was the daughter of the late James Sawyer and Arnettia Sawyer.
She was a member of Serenity Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was retired and had previously worked as a teacher’s aide in both the public and private school systems.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Lafayette Cartwright; two daughters, Kennetha Washington and Keisha Washington; six grandchildren, Shantea Burrs, Ryan Burrs, Kenneth Burrs, Olivia Washington, Charlotte Washington, and Serenity Washington; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Grant Sawyer and Robert Sawyer.
Services and interment are private.
