Obituary for Richard Dwayne "Rick" Simpson
Richard "Rick" Dwayne Simpson was reunited with parents in Heaven on Saturday, January 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 23, 1958 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Heyward Albert Simpson and Ann (Downey) Simpson.
He enjoyed hunting, playing outside with his grandchildren and loved spending time at the cabins. He collected coins and other valuables.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra “Faye” Simpson, two daughters, Ashley Simpson and Jennifer Shifflett, both of Martinsburg, seven grandchildren, Aliyah Simpson, Breanna Shifflett, Cora Leadman, Noah Leadman, Ryah Shifflett, Ashton McIntosh and Kayson McIntosh. He is also survived by a brother, Clyde Simpson, brother-in-law Byron Detter, sister-in-law Karen Smallwood and husband Willis Smallwood.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
